Katharine Ramsay, also known as Katie, was born in Bend, Oregon and moved to Denver, Colorado as a young child with her family. Katie currently studies photography at the University of Colorado Denver and is working towards her Bachelors of Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Photography. She also works at CU Denver for the Communications Department as the Photo and Design Coordinator. At her job she is in charge of taking, editing and managing photos for the CU Denver online database. In her personal work Katie enjoys photographing people, specifically focusing on Fashion Photography and enjoys styling thrifted or vintage clothing in a high end way. Her love for photography really took off her senior year of high school when she took a photography course that focused on the more creative side of the craft. Katie has had her work up in numerous coffee shops around the Denver Metro area, as well as winning a Gold Key at the Scholastics Art and Writing Awards in 2017, and had her work show at the History Colorado Center. Currently Katie is focusing on creating a magazine of her thrift store fashion photographs.
