Art Practices
Scott Richmond was born in Spokane, Washington to a military family and lived all over the world while growing up. He graduated from the University of Colorado Denver in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Practices. Scott has shown his work at the CU Building student exhibition in 2019. Through his work, Scott utilizes many forms of metal casting, most notably lost-wax bronze casting techniques. Other media for Scott includes iron casting, graphite and ink drawing and acrylic. Minimal tool workings are emphasized in Scott’s creative practice with an exploration life like forms. His most recent work demonstrates a level of achievement in understanding complex mold making techniques, while exploring pack mentality in the gray wolf species.
